IFIPWG8.2 Officer Elections

The term of office of the current officer team of WG8.2 is coming to an end, and it is therefore time to elect a new team.

The current team is:
Matthew Jones (Chair)
Benjamin Mueller (Vice Chair)
Yeliz Eseryel (co-Secretary)
Pamela Abbott (co-Secretary)

Matthew Jones will be standing down as Chair but, following the customary rotation of officer positions in IFIPWG8.2, the Vice Chair and secretaries have expressed an interest in standing for the following positions:

Benjamin Mueller (Chair)
Pamela Abbott (Vice-Chair)
Yeliz Eseryel (Secretary)

All positions are open for election, however, and any member of IFIPWG8.2 who is interested in joining the officer team can stand for any position. Nominations for an officer position are therefore invited.

Nominations (seconded by another IFIPWG8.2 member) and with a statement of agreement to stand should be sent to the returning officer, Kevin Crowston, at crowston@g.syr.edu. Nominations will be open until 12:00 UTC on 23 December 2024.

If no nominations are received by this date the officers will be considered elected to the positions above unopposed. If any nominations are received, an election will be held by online ballot, between 2 and 10 January 2025. The result will be announced at the virtual IFIPWG8.2 Business Meeting scheduled for 20:30 UTC on 15 January 2025.
