Elizabeth Davidson
I am a professor in the Shidler College of Business, Department of Information Technology Management, at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (shielder.hawaii.edu). I serve as Program Director and Graduate Chair for the Communications and Information Sciences (CIS) Ph.D. program (http://www.hawaii.edu/cis/) and Editor in Chief of Information and Organization (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/information-and-organization/)
My research is concerned with the social and organizational implications of information technology developments and use, with a focus on the health care sector and health IT. I also am interested in field-level implications of IT diffusion. My research generally entails in-depth organizational field studies or discourse analysis to examine field-level influences on how technologies are shaped and diffused.
