7) Open Discussion
a. Journal collaboration: JITTA not recognized in Germany
b. IFIP negotiates relationships with Springer in long-term agreement; open-access proceedings would have to be done with IFIP’s permission; if you want proceedings, it needs to be Springer; could have all papers on website only but membership has expressed need to have proceedings; funding agencies are more likely to support a conference if there is Springer proceedings
c. AIS eLibrary as an option for proceedings
d. OCIS (division of the Academy of Management) Professional Development Workshop sponsored by IFIP; Kevin Crowston and Youngjin Yoo are both currently officers in OCIS
e. Working conference every 2 years associated with ICIS rather than working conferences every 18 months; this should help membership plan their submissions and travel budgets; conference participation would be less dependent on advertising of individual events
f. Auckland 2014 IFIP working conference: will need to identify event officers quickly
g. Anything else? Email Brian Fitzgerald
