5. PAST EVENTS

Ulrike Schultze shared details on the 2018 Working Conference. The final attendance was 98 participants, after a number of last-minute registrations. She thanked the co-chairs and program committee members for their efforts and emphasized how many young scholars had attended (11 PhD students were present). A number of first-time attendees also seemed to have been attracted by the group and theme. She estimated that the event will have generated a small surplus for the group to draw on in future events, especially to support young scholars. She thanked SFSU and the conference center staff and the Hornblower Cruise Line team for their support.

6. FUTURE EVENTS

OASIS 2019

Benjamin Mueller shared details on the 2019 OASIS workshop: OASIS is planned to take place on December 14, 2019, as an official ancillary event to ICIS in Munich. He invited newer / younger members to join the team to develop content profile / CfP and help organize the event.

IFIP WG 8.2 / 9.1 JOINT WORKING CONFERENCE 2020

Eija Karsten shared details on the proposed joint working conference with IFIP WG 9.1 prior to ICIS 2020 in India. The exact timing and location of ICIS 2020 was unclear at the time of the business meeting. This was later clarified to be Hyderabad between December 13 and 16, 2020. A final coordination meeting with 9.1 was to be hosted a day after 8.2’s business meeting to establish a joint Program Committee from the two groups. Members were invited to volunteer to participate in the Committee. Jointly-staffed committees will then work out details.

Eija Karsten asked participating members to vote on both events, mandating officers to go ahead with the planning and file the necessary paperwork (to be filed prior to the TC 8 meeting in June). No attending member objected, so it was agreed that officers would proceed as planned.
