Volunteers sought as faciliators for an Oasis Workshop to be held at the upcoming Working Conference in Auckland, December 2014

We are currently seeking volunteers from the WG8.2 community who are able to attend the upcoming IFIP WG 8.2 Working Conference in Auckland, NZ and are willing to act as a facilitator of a roundtable discussion session. If you would be interested in making a contribution to the WG8.2 community in this way, please contact Bill Doolin at bdoolin@aut.ac.nz.

The IFIP WG8.2 community has traditionally offered an OASIS Workshop as a pre-ICIS event. This year, we will be trialling incorporating an OASIS workshop into the main working conference, in order to provide colleagues with the opportunity for paper development or presentation of research-in-progress in the traditional OASIS roundtable discussion format. OASIS workshop streams will run in parallel with the full paper conference streams. The two events will be run as an integrated event, with participants registering for and participating in the full package. Every attempt is being made to keep the registration fee as low as possible.

A call for OASIS workshop submissions (extended abstracts of 500-1,000 words) will be released at the end of July. Accepted submitters will be divided into appropriately themed small groups. The extended abstracts in each group will have been read by the other group members before the roundtable discussion session at the conference.
