Call for papers--Organizations and Society in Information Systems (OASIS) 2010 Pre-ICIS Workshop
ICIS Conference Hotel-- Hyatt Regency St. Louis
Saint Louis, Missouri
United States
9 AM - 4 PM Sunday 12, December 2010
Information Systems play an increasingly transformative role in organizations and society. The fluidity of IT over time has afforded and facilitated many new opportunities for organizing, conducting business, and collaborating. The 2010 OASIS workshop promotes understanding of the implications of these opportunities and the challenges they present to organizations.
We invite you to present your research-in-progress at OASIS, the IFIP Working Group 8.2 research workshop.
IFIP Bulletin on the IFIP website
The "IFIP Bulletin" was an annual publication from IFIP that listed all of the technical committees and working groups and their members. We have recently been informed by the IFIP HQ that Bulletin will no longer be issued in printed form, but the data will instead by available on the IFIP website, www.ifip.org, by following the link to the "IFIP Bulletin". The data in this online Bulletin are updated within 2 days after receiving changes.
OASIS 2009 registration
We've learned that the AIS registration system has a technical glitch that is showing the OASIS workshop as full, and participants are not currently able to register for the workshop as a result. AIS is working on solving this problem, but rest assured that the workshop is not full and we welcome your participation in Phoenix next month! An announcement will be posted on this site when workshop registration becomes available and we expect to be able to take late registrations at the door, although pre-registration is preferred.
IFIP Sustainable Development Programme (SDP)
Sustainable Development Programme (SDP) is an IFIP (International Federation For Information Processing) funded programme. The aim is to offer young IT professionals and students the opportunity of building up their knowledge of developing countries and development issues. The programme aims at promoting internationalization of education by providing young people with the opportunity of establishing contacts with institutions and organizations.
